About Total Average

Total average (TA) is a metric that designed to measure a players overall offensive conrtributions. It's calculated by dividing total bases, walks, hit by pitch, and stolen bases by at bats that did not result in a hit, times caught stealing, and times grounded into a double play. Generally, for Total Average, higher is better. (Source)
