About Times on Base

Times on base (TOB) is a count of instances where the player reached first base, second base, third base, or hit a home run. This is only counted for hits, walks, or hit by pitch and is not counted when the player reaches due to an error, a dropped third strike, a fielders choice, or fielder obstruction. Generally, for Times on Base, higher is better. (Source)
